Another Day for Blogging Marathon ,for the Week 4. For the Second week I have chosen the theme , "Indian Sweets -Payasam/Halwa " . In Function or any Occasions South Indian Meals will ends up with Payasam only.Actualy I does only common Payasam like Semiya Paysam,Parupu Payasam … For BM ,am experimenting some more flavorful Payasam from some well known site. This one I got it from “Tarlaldalal” .I posted Carrot Paysam Earlier, but adding cashew paste’s gives excellent taste.Do try it out and enjoy, Healthy Treat for Kids and us as well.Let go to recipes now,
- Grated Carrot-1/2 cup
- Cashewnuts-1/4 cup
- Sugar-1/4 +Little more for taste
- Ghee -1 tablespoon
- Cardammom Powder – 1 teaspoon
- Pista -For Garnish
1.Keep heavey bottom pan,add in 2 cups milk.Bring to boil and simmer to become ¾ th Quandity.
2.In a different pan,add ghee add in grated carrots and sauté it on medium flame,till it cooks.Allow to cool.
3.Drain the milk from cashew nuts, add nuts and carrot in blender .Grind in to course paste,use the drained milk for grinding.
4.Add the ground paste and sugar in to the boiled milk and simmer for 10 mns, stir continuously.
5.Add cardamom powder ,mix well.
6.Cool Completely and refrigerate for 2 hrs.
7.Add some roasted chopped Pistas on top and serve.
