Vendakai/Okra Moor kuzhambu

  1. Okra/ladies finger-10  nos
  2. Curd-1/4 cup
  3. Oil-3teaspoon
  4. Onion-1/2 medium chopped
  5. Mustard/Jeera-1teaspoon
Soak and Grind:
  1. Toor dal-2table spoon
  2. Rice-2table spoon
  3. Jeera-1teaspoon
  4. Green chilly-3 nos
  5. Coconut-2table spoon shredderd
  6. Ginger-1/2inch
Can do the Kuzhambu,with Brinjal/Eggplant,Neer Poosanikai/White pumpkin also.My Mom do the Moor Kuzhambu with adding fried Parupu vadai.

Step 1:
  • Wash the ladies finger,cut the both edges.And then.,cut in to 1"size.
  • Heat oil in the pan,fry all okra/ladies fingers and keep it aside.Don't add water to cook.just roast in oil.no need to close the lid also.
  • Ground all ingredients,with little water.Transfer,the mixture in to Bowl and add enough salt,turmeric powder,curd and water.Mixture have to be in thin.
Step 2:
  • Heat 2teaspoon of oil in pan,splutter Mustard seeds,Jeera,Curry leaves.
  • Put chopped onion,and fry well.
  • Now add fried Okra/Ladied fringers mix it well.
  • Pour all the ground mixture in to it.Keep the stove in low flame.
  • Cook it for 3-4 mns.Don't allow the curry to boil.
  • Garnish with curry leaves and cilantro,serve with white rice.
This curry have to cook in medium flame only.
